We started Astrophotography in September 2015. Back then, we were in awe every time we saw photographs of deep-sky objects online taken by amateur astrophotographers all over the world. All we had at the time was a point & shoot camera and binoculars. We had no idea that one day, some of our deep sky images would be featured on magazines, websites, or even television.
We worked really hard to progress fast in this difficult hobby, spending every possible clear night in the desert and under the stars. We upgraded our equipment rather quickly to a DSLR camera and a telescope. You can see the full list of what we use in our setup HERE.
We made a post about each step we took to better ourselves and how we got to what we are today. You can read about our entire journey HERE. You can also watch our video about it HERE.
This page will compile all the awards, publications or features our photographs were chosen for. We know we only have a few at the moment but wanted a way to keep track over time!
It will be updated every time a new image is selected for a major feature.
Our ultimate goal, like most amateur astrophotographers, is to one day be featured on NASA's APOD (Astronomy Picture Of the Day). If you are reading this, it means that sadly, we haven't succeeded yet...
